To just sleep in a car like this, with your best friend or boyfriend and not worry because its just you two and tomorrow you’re just going to climb out of bed and into the front of the car where you’ll drive off. Another day on your road trip together, living, laughing, loving.

But then you hear a noise outside. Your friend goes to investigate and never comes back. You wait, and then decide to go looking for them. You grab a torch and climb out and scan the trees with the light.

You hear a dripping noise behind you.

You turn around and see water dripping onto the car, but it’s not raining. You shine the torch onto the water, and realise it’s red. It’s blood. You look up, and there’s your friend, hanging from the tree above, stomach ripped open and hand reaching down, dripping blood.

You go to scream but then something hits you from behind.

You were in the first five minutes of Supernatural.

What it really means, To Be A Witch

Alright, I’m feeling frisky today. So itemized list it is:

-I am a witch and I don’t follow the ‘Harm None’ rule. This is because I am not a Wiccan Witch. See… Wiccan and Witch are not as interchangeable as most people think it is.

-As a modern culture pagan/witch, I have very little connection to the ‘ways of old.’

-I have no connection to the moon apart from bleeding in my underpants every 28 days.

-Not every witch has to do with gods. Sorry.

-While I’m a huge fan of the planet we live on, I don’t think I could consider myself ‘one with it.’

-I bet you can tell I’m not one to keep silent.

This is not what it “really means to be a witch.” To be a witch, you do witchcraft and consider yourself a witch. That is the requirement.

Silenus was the tutor to the wine god, Bacchus. He was described as the oldest, wisest, and drunkest of Bacchus’s retinue. It was believed that when drunk, Silenus spoke prophecies. He was often so inebriated, he’d have to be supported by satyrs and carried on a donkey. The leaves and vines around him represent wine, of course.

Bacchus would grow to be the Roman god of wine and liberation, or freedom. It was believed wine, song, and ecstatic dance would send his followers into a frenzy where they would free themselves of the self-conciousness, cares, and restraints of mortal life. The festival for his cult was called the bacchanalia, and originally the rites could only be taken by women.
