Here I am, actually enjoying an awesome spring day (it’s actually NOT humid and unbearable, like last week) here in my home in New Jersey. The cats are fighting over who gets to sit in the open window by me <sigh>, when suddenly both cats stop their fighting to look out the window. Then I hear what got their attention: about 5 crows getting attacked by a blue jay. I didn’t realise that a blue jay had a nest nearby, because that would be the only reason for this to be happening. Then Mischief (my black cat) starts doing that chittering sound cats sometimes do. The birds all seem to stop bickering for a moment, then just the crows start squawking (or is it laughing) then fly away.

Anyone have an idea why the birds would listen to my cat and not the blue jay?
